City Bus has been started from the date of 27th August, 2007. We have successfully completed more than 33 months of our services. Here is the list of our achievement during this year and our planning for next year.

As per instruction of Surat Mahanagar Palika, we have to run our buses on the given 42 routes, out of which we have started with 18 routes at the time of inauguration. Currently we are operating 45 routes with expansion of our services to outer Surat.

We have started our services within the city limit of Surat Mahanagar Palika, but today we have got permisiion to operate our services within the 10 km limit outside Surat Municipal Corporation Limit. We are currently operating our services on following outside routes:

- Rly. Station to Kamrej Char Rasta
- Rly. Station to Kadodara Char Rasta
- Rly. Station to Reliance Gate, Mora
- Rly. Station to Olpad

On the regular demand from the local peoples of Surat Surroundings, we have started above routes with the permission from the Government of Gujarat. Currently we are transporting more then 25,000 peoples a day from this surrounding areas.

As rehibilitation of peoples from vaious slum areas to Kosad Municipal Tenament. We have also started the special routes from Kosad to various parts of Surat City via Rly. Station and Chowk. We are currently operating with 8 buses specially for Kosad route. For increasing our reach to each & every part of Surat city, we are improving our services day by day. Our target is to reach maximum peoples, so they can take benefits of it.

Average running per day of Surat City Bus is around 20,000 kilometer which is 4,000 km higher then previous year.

Daily around 85,000 passengers are using our services, which is showing that peoples are more used to then ever for using City Bus for satisfying their daily transportation needs.

For improvidng our services and providing best transportation facility to the peoples of Surat city, we have also placed suggestion box at each and every Terminals for having suggestions from the passengers. We would like to know about our drivers driving habits, conductor’s behavior and staff’s response to the public for providing safe & reliable transportation service to the citizen of Surat City.
